Ways to be healthy at work in 2017

Shoreham

Some the simplest are the easiest and best:- Exercise - Take a lunch break - Dodge the unhealthy snacks

Exercise - A recent Lancet study found that people need to do at least an hour of physical activity a day to counter the negative health impacts of every eight hours spent sitting. This can be cycling to work, getting off the tube or bus a stop earlier, taking the stairs or even visiting colleagues in different parts of the office rather than emailing.

Lunch Break – It is too easy to skip your lunch break and eat whilst staring at a computer screen. Taking a short break for a walk after a healthy nutritious lunch is a good idea as it helps to normalise blood sugar levels quicker so there’s no post-lunch slump.

Dodge the unhealthy snacks – Avoid the constant round of sandwiches and pastries and cake-pushing colleagues. Reach for the healthy options such as nuts, seeds and fruit. Snacking does not need to be boring!

So……… to encourage the licensees and staff at Shoreham to start 2017 as they mean to go on, they will be able to take advantage of the weekly supply of free fruit available at reception throughout the whole of January.
