Key Handover Ceremony Opens New Centre

ZZChester

The Ambition Broxbourne Business Centre, funded by Broxbourne Council and the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, held its key handover ceremony on Thursday 12th January 2017.

Broxbourne MP Charles Walker attended the opening along with Broxbourne Council Leader Mark Mills-Bishop and the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire Lady Verulam.

Lady Verulam was full of praise for the centre and described the opening as an "historic moment".

She said: "We all know starting a business or even running a small business is a very difficult thing to do.
"But this building is such a wonderful step up to everybody and it is so beautifully done, I have been so impressed.
"All the attention to detail and all the forward planning, all the best use of modern materials, it really is an excellent flagship."

The development is considered a key part of the council's Ambition Broxbourne economic strategy to create the right conditions for businesses to develop and generate new jobs in the borough.

Broxbourne Council Leader, Councillor Mark Mills-Bishop, was happy to see the project come to completion.
He said: "I was pleased three or four years ago, when I was a financial member for the borough, to see this project come off the ground and now as Council Leader to see its completion."
He added his thanks to Hertfordshire County Councillor, Paul Mason, with whom he worked on this project, saying that his "wisdom and vision" were key to the project.
