A Thank you Letter!
Following our Christmas charity toy collection, we received a lovely letter from GLCT.
Last month our amazing charity, The Golden Lion Children's Trust, were asking for donations of new toys for their children's Chritmas party.
As always, our amazing Licensees rose to the occasion and a big box of parcels was collected just before Christmas.
We received a letter this week from Lynda Guy, Chairman of the Trust, explaining how our parcels helped and a little bit about some of the work that they did over the festive season.
"We ran our traditional Late Christmas Party on 8 January and Father Christmas was able to give each child a sack with four wrapped presents, as well as similar for the siblings too young to come to the party.....In addition to those 120 or so sacks of presents, we also ran a special Christmas Eve project....In advance of 24 December, we worked with families in crisis...We interviewed a parent to consider what would be most appropriate for the children and then shopped, sorted, wrapped and labeled toys, books or games for them. These were then taken round to the 118 children....We know from feedback that several of these children had nothing apart from the GLCT sacks...We were able to be so generous to the children this year largely thanks to the kindness of your licensees and colleagues, Amanda. Everyone was so generous. Our grateful thanks to you all."
We are delighted to have been able to bring some smiles to some young faces. We are proud to support such a great charity.
