New Look for Caldicot Castle

Chepstow

Caldicot Castle and Country Park is undergoing a number of changes.

A newly-refurbished and remodelled café will be opening inside the castle while a new children’s playground will be opened on the country park.
Details of the upgrades were outlined in a letter to nearby residents which was also posted online.

The letter also outlined the procedures for the upcoming summer concerts which include Little Mix, the Retroactive Festival and Only Men Aloud. The former two events will happen in grounds outside the castle.

Caldicot Castle café will be open from 11am to 4pm from Tuesday to Sunday during the open season of the castle.  While Caldicot Castle will open its doors to the public for the summer on 1st April, the official launch of the new facilities will occur on an open day held on Good Friday 14th April.

The open day will be a large event with archery, inflatable football, an Easter egg hunt, live music, bouncy castles and abseiling one of the castle towers.
These changes have come in addition to tree maintenance during the winter and introduction of daffodils and wildflower seeds.
