Basepoint Chepstow Chooses New Charity for 2017/18

Chepstow

Basepoint Chepstow has chosen a new centre charity for 2017/18 after three years supporting St. David's Hospice Care.

The Orchard Trust supports the involvement, independence and development of people with learning disabilities.

An Independent Registered Charity, established in 1989. The Orchard Trust was founded by a group of parents and carers of people with a disability and it still retains that interest within the current Trustee membership.

As an Independent Registered Charity based in the Forest of Dean, The Orchard Trust provide a wide range of integrated services to meet the needs of people with learning disabilities in Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.

All  homes have a number of vehicles, including tail lift wheelchair accessibility, which enables people to access the local community and their educational and day care facilities.  Centre Manager Ian Mitchell comments, 'I am very much looking forward to working with The Orchard Trust for the forthcoming year and I am pleased that we are able to support such a wonderful charity that assist so many people living in such close proximity to the centre.'
