Networking Hub with Added Value

Newhaven

Yesterday saw another successful networking event held here at the centre with guest speaker, David Foster of David Foster Associates.

David gave a great presentation on do we buy ‘Price or Value for Money’. Throughout the presentation David engaged with guests, welcoming audience involvement and really made us think, what do we sell, but more importantly what do your prospects want to buy and what value does your product or service hold for the buyer. Research has shown that we will pay 10% to 15% more for a similar product or service if overall we feel we will receive value for money.

To delve a little deeper, we looked at our own buying habits and what we think about when we make a buying decision. Was it worth the price I paid? Am I pleased with the service/product? Or dare we say it, do we have buyer’s remorse – I think we’ve all been in that situation once or twice in our lives. David asked us to think about us, our products and services, to think about something of value that our product / service and/or maybe we and our teams, include automatically that just maybe our sales prospects / customers may not be aware of (Don’t assume they do!). Such a simple question, but one which left us all thinking. Are we underselling ourselves?

And remember, it’s not just about price. Is your client looking for quality products, or a service that will save them time and money, do they want something functional, or are they just looking for that wow factor? So, before you make that all important sales call or pitch, take a look at what you offer, what is it that makes you different, what value do you offer? It could be your wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry, it could be your passion, but whatever it is, let’s tell our clients about and shout it from the rooftops.

We also have to say a big congratulations to this month’s business card prize draw winner who was treated to a delectable bottle of Italian Prosecco – Helen Raggett of Forever Living Products, congratulations Helen.
