BASEPOINT BASINGSTOKE MATCH FUND £1,142 TO LOCAL CHARITY

Basingstoke

Basepoint Basingstoke had the pleasure of match funding £1,142 to local nominated charity, St.Michael’s Hospice, following their successful car wash week in August.

The charity is Basepoint Basingstoke’s nominated charity and we are committed to match funding £10,000 this year. Jamie Banwell-Clode, Centre Manager, commented "I am so pleased we are working with St.Michael’s Hospice again this year and offering them match funding support. We gave £10,000 last year and are delighted to be doing this again. The fantastic St.Michael’s team work tirelessly to promote the charity and raise money throughout the year, it is lovely that we can match fund this to create more support for the charity."

St. Michael's Hospice was established in 1991 by a committee led by former Mayor Margaret Weston. Their mission was simple, to offer a choice and understanding of complex conditions in the dying.  Over 23 years later, and caring for over 500 patients a year across the community, St. Michael's leads the provision of the highest quality palliative care throughout North Hampshire and offers more choice than ever.  The spirit, ambition and drive presented by the founding committee continue in our staff to this day and remain at the heart of all our work.
