The World's Biggest Coffee Morning

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event and has raised over £165.5 million since its start. People are encouraged to hold their own Coffee Morning or attend someone else’s. Last year £29.5 million was raised for Macmillan, this year they are hoping to raise even more.
The first Coffee Morning happened back in 1990. It was a very small affair with guests gathering together to share a cup of coffee and donating the cost of that cup to Macmillan. It was such a success that Macmillan held their Coffee Morning nationally the following year and it has been going ever since.
One in three people will get cancer in their lifetime, with 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer today this number will rise to 4 million by the year 2030. Macmillan want to be there to support every one of these people and their friends and family, be it emotionally, medically, financially or practically, making sure that no one ever has to face the fight alone.
On the morning of the 29th September, Basepoint Bromsgrove will be joining in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. With a delicious array of cakes and baked goods we hope to do our bit to raise money to help a charity that helps people live life, no matter what.
