Basepoint Collaborates with Licensee in Biggest Fundraiser Yet!

Dartford

Tom Cella from Kinetic IT at Basepoint Dartford, approached Basepoint in the summer with an idea to raise money for the charity. Cardiomyopathy is the centre’s chosen charity and Basepoint were delighted with the idea and offered their support. Tom arranged a reform of his band of which he is the lead singer, and invited duo Nexus to sing at a charity fundraiser gig he organised for Saturday 21st October.

The event was held at Dartford Football ground with tickets being sold at £10 each wher3 303 were sold raising £3030 alone. In addition to this, many local businesses were very generous with giving donations for raffle prizes and a silent auction to be held on the night including:

A framed 1966 signed England rugby world cup winning shirt
A football boot signed by Cesc Fabrigas
A luxury Cornish holiday
A 40” Samsung TV

The total raised from the raffle and the auctions on the night was £9040.

Denis Taylor, deputy chairman of the ACT foundation contacted Basepoint to say how impressed he was with the event and offered a further £5,000 to the total raised.

This brought the entire total including all match funding to a massive £25,670!

Congratulations to Tom and everyone involved that made this event such a huge success, raising funds for a charity that specialises in helping those with the rare heart condition, Cardiomyopathy.
