Basepoint Romsey Raised Money for Children In Need

Romsey

We knew we would find it hard to top last year’s Children In Need event, however this year we helped a special lady called Amy who had been nominated for the Sir Terry Wogan Pudsey Award 2017.

Amy is 32 years old, she has cerebral palsy and learning problems, however even though she has faced her own challenges, she cares deeply for other people and she has been raising money for Children in Need for 27 years. During that time, she has raised between £20 - £25,000. Amy is the daughter of one of our licensee’s Helen from Hamilton Parkers. Amy aim was to raise £1000 for Children in Need.

With our help, we raised £200.28 towards Amy’s target of £1000 at our Breakfast Drive Thur. We give out tea, coffee and pastries when our licensees and visitors drove in to the car park.

Amy completed a aqua fit class, followed by 20 lengths of the pool and cake sale. Cakes were donated from Little Bee Bakery at Basepoint Romsey, Unit 24. Also, Waitrose in Romsey donated cakes to help Amy reach her target.

We are pleased to say Amy has exceed her target and raised £1246.78!
