Basepoint Tewkesbury licensee SmartSurvey wins 3-Year Contract with General Medical Council (GMC)

Tewkesbury

SmartSurvey , the bootstrapped Tewkesbury-based provider of digital survey solutions, has won a three-year contract to supply survey and consultation software to the General Medical Council (GMC). The GMC, an independent organisation, is the official register of medical practitioners within the United Kingdom that helps to protect patients and improve medical education and practice across the UK. They collect a wealth of information about the medical profession and the organisations where doctors practise and train. Research that the GMC collects, via online surveys, helps to make sure that policies and decisions are based on evidence.

Mo Naser, Director at SmartSurvey commented…
‘ SmartSurvey is delighted to be working with the GMC, who will be using our online platforms to collect feedback from external and internal stakeholders. We offer the GMC high levels of security and assurances that data is stored and backed up within the UK and not transmitted outside the EU, something our competitors do not offer. Furthermore, we custom built specific features to suit their needs. We very much look forward to working with the GMC to help them simplify the way they collect data, through surveys and consultations’.

Paul Buckley, Director of Strategy and Communication at the GMC, said:
‘The General Medical Council has thousands of stakeholders across the four UK countries. In this complex environment we can only be effective by listening and involving them in our work – and of course, a great, easy-to-use digital platform is key to making that happen.
‘This is why we are delighted to be working with our new provider and partner, SmartSurvey. Their user-friendly surveys and consultation platform will transform the way that we engage with doctors, patients and employers in the future’.

SmartSurvey provides survey software to over 160,000 users worldwide. Progression has come organically by launching business focussed features, including white-label branding, SMS distribution, and mobile responsive surveys. But more importantly, the implementation of various security accreditations and UK data storage are the key selling points. Growth milestones continue to be exceeded year-on-year, with sales increasing by over 50% in the last 12 months. With the onset of new data privacy laws and GDPR compliance requirements, this is likely to fuel growth even more.
