George Osborne to encourage hundreds of thousands of women to work

Chancellor George Osborne has announced plans to encourage nearly 500,000 more women in to the workplace by the beginning of 2016.

The Treasury said it will achieve the target by increasing access to childcare across the country, giving Britain one of the highest rates of female employment in the world.
