Basepoint South East launches first ‘Regional Networking Hub’

Following the success of their individual Networking Hubs, Basepoint Camberley, Crawley and Newhaven are delighted to be launching their first ever ‘Regional Networking Hub’.

Basepoint South East have combined their efforts in order to form this free networking event, giving all SMEs in the region a chance to benefit from the successful format. With more than 100 businesses in attendance, there will be ample opportunity to promote businesses to a much wider audience, and plenty of time to network and exchange ideas with other attendees over some light refreshments.

There will be encouraging speeches from two inspirational speakers, Janice Meek – the only woman on the planet to have rowed the Atlantic Ocean and walked to the North Pole – and also Toby Gillett, winner of the Basepoint sponsored Young Start-up Talent (YSUT) initiative.

The YSUT was first launched in 2010 as a business competition aimed at entrepreneurial 16-21 year olds, and Toby won the much coveted £50,000 prize fund to help launch his business idea for an online book library, ‘Sobiblio’.

Karen Osborne, Basepoint South East Area Manager, comments: “Our Networking Hubs have been so successful that it was only a matter of time before we launched them on a bigger scale. All of our usual attendees from Camberley, Crawley and Newhaven will have a chance to network together and hopefully we will see some new faces too. The business community in the south east is really thriving and I’m confident the day will be beneficial to everyone.”

The networking event will take place at Basepoint Crawley on Friday 21st September from 11.30am – 2pm. Attendees will also be provided with lunch and refreshments – all free of charge – and a business card draw with prizes to support you and your business.
