The Joiners Shop, a Basepoint operated business centre in the Historic Dockyard Chatham, is celebrating a successful two years of operation – with 100% of its 44 units now occupied. Following a major restoration, the 200 year old Grade II* listed building opened in March 2009 as a specialist centre for creative industries. The centre is now home to 44 thriving creative businesses, ranging from graphic designers, specialist printers and engravers, to a railway simulator company.

Basepoint Tilbury opened its doors to local small businesses in 2005 and is now home to 28 companies. The centre is 100% occupied by a wide range of local businesses, from wine merchants and freight forwarding to a construction training company.
Companies based within Basepoint Andover are thriving thanks to the strong sense of community and relaxed atmosphere which exists within the centre. The centre opened its doors in 2003 and is now home to 56 local small and successful businesses. The Letteroom.com, specialists in providing personalised lettered gifts, is one company thriving from being located at Basepoint Andover – so much so that the company has recently moved to larger offices within the centre. Sherrie Mead, Partner of The Letteroom.com, comments: “We have been here since September 2010 and due to the success of the business, we have recently expanded into a larger unit. It was an easy and stress free move, mainly thanks to the support and assistance of the Basepoint team. We were set and ready to go in our new unit before we knew it.”
Basepoint Bournemouth is hosting ‘The Networking Hub’ its monthly networking event for local businesses and Basepoint licensees on Tuesday 27th September. The event will provide the opportunity to network, meet new people, generate new business - and also includes two guest speakers. Event speakers are Mandy Payne, Vice President of the Bournemouth Chamber of Trade & Commerce, who will be talking about social media and how it can help to lift SMEs profile and bring extra business, whilst Dr Krishan Raymead, from Thrive Chiropractic, will be on hand to offer advice on health and wellbeing in the office. He will also be offering tips on reducing stress levels!
To cheer up licensees as summer draws to a close, Basepoint Southampton threw a summer BBQ for their licensees and regular visitors to the centre on Friday 9th September in near perfect summer conditions.
