Basingstoke

italk provides free treatment to people suffering from common mental health problems including depression, anxiety and stress.

italk is a free service for patients with depression, anxiety or stress. We are an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service, which is delivered in partnership between Solent Mind and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.

italk is an NHS commissioned service for patients aged 16 and over who are registered with a GP in the following areas of Hampshire: Basingstoke, Bordon, Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Havant, the New Forest, Petersfield, Romsey, Andover and Winchester. It is free to anyone who accesses it.

italk has many different treatment options available but it is not a counselling service. The main therapy offered is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which is a talking therapy which looks at thoughts, feelings and behaviours and teaches coping strategies and other ways to manage how you are currently feeling.

We deliver high quality psychological therapy, which is evidence based and in line with the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines. italk also offers employment support to its patients when they are struggling at work because of mental health problems or have had their mental health problems triggered by work-related stress.
