Networking Hub & Events
The Networking Hub is a free B2B networking event hosted by Basepoint in our business centres across the country. The events are open to all kinds of business and our aim is to give all those that attend the opportunity to meet new people, to build on existing business relationships and to generate new leads. The format of the events are largely informal with a brief talk from a local guest speaker, a complimentary light buffet style lunch and plenty of opportunity to network with other attendees. Alongside this, Basepoint provide a business card prize draw and a business 2 business exchange facility in which attendees can promote their business to other attendees.

You are invited to attend our Networking HUB taking place at Basepoint Tewkesbury on Thursday 15th March 2018 at 11:30. The event will be hosted by Centre Manager, Claire Vagges and will feature a talk by Professor Lindsey McEwen, Centre for Floods, Communities and Resilience, University of the West of England, Bristol.
Small businesses are critical for the functioning of the UK economy and disproportionately affected by floods. This talk shares research on motivators and barriers for small business adaptation to flood risk. It shares SESAME’s practical guidance for SME business continuity (http://sesame.uk.com) and introduces SESAME’s e-learning tool (www. floodresilientbusiness.co.uk) developed working with small businesses in Tewkesbury to promote longer-term business resilience. We are now keen to secure feedback on this e-tool from other small businesses in the wider region.
